IoT Based Healthcare System For Paralysis Patient

           Nearly all over the world 1 in every 50 persons is living with Paralysis. This accounts for approximately 5.4 million people going through paralysis. In paralysis partial or whole movement of the patient is restricted.The main purpose of the System is to record  simple hand movement of the patient and display it on LED screen which will help to establish communication.With the enhanced understanding of the person receiving the message from the patient, certain signs can be set up for certain task which will help the patient convey some of his basic needs directly.
            Even though,there are many innovative approaches  for the paralysis patient treatment but the aim of the system is to help paralysis patient to communicate easily and convey their message.As their whole or partial body disabled by the Paralysis attack,these people in most cases are not able to convey their needs as they are neither able to speak properly nor do they convey through sign language due to loss in motor control by their brain. In such a situation we propose a system that helps disabled person display a message on screen by just simple motion of arm .This device aims at establishing connection between the patient and the doctor using that one arm.
            This project is an IOT based system which will retrieve the hand movements of the patient and display it on the LCD screen. The proposed system will be based on the methodology of receiver and transmitter. The signals from the patient’s side will act as the transmitter signal. A sensor will be placed on the hand of the patient which will notify the system in case if any movements shown my the patient. An RF receiver will receive the transmitted signals. These signals from the receiver will then be sent to the controller board which will then display it on the LCD. . If there was no one to attend to the message displayed on the LCD, the patient can choose to tilt the device for some more amount of time which will trigger an SMS to be sent through a GSM modem to the registered caretaker of the patient with the message that the patient wants to convey.In place of emergency the emergency buzzer will buzz and a text SMS will also be sent to the Doctor

Conclusion:
By keeping the current scenario of paralysis in mind , it can be concluded that the paralyzed patients have to go through a lot of problems such as paralysis in their leg, hand, vocal tract and also in other body parts. There are systems existing for their comforts individually. But, this system will help to monitor the patient's and help them communicate . This system helps patient overcome barriers to convey their needs without putting efforts and will also help the doctor keep a track on their patient's recovery status.
